The sport governing bodies and associations of England: Adopt an English national anthem

The use of the British national anthem ‘God Save the Queen’ as the English national anthem denies England its own discrete identity whilst the Scots and Welsh are denied equal ownership of the British national anthem. The Cross of St George has replaced the British flag at English sporting events; it is now time to replace the British anthem with a distinctly English anthem.

What is not fully understood is that God Save The Queen IS the English National Anthem. The word British was used by the ENGLISH to re-name the countries and regions it took by military means . From about 1745 this Anthem was taught to ALL those countries as the British National Anthem to ensure loyalty and domination. e.g British India, British Honduras etc. The British name was just a mask for England to disguise ownership. Now it is backfiring a bit !!
However as the ENGLISH EMPIRE started to be called the British Empire the English National Anthem became known as the British Anthem so the English already have their own Anthem but don’t
seem to realise.. The Scots and the Welsh have their own Anthems and so do the English . However I am happy to change the English Anthem to something that does not have God in it.
    There is no God .

You do realise that England and Scotland joined because of a Scottish king inemheriting England right?

The Normans (who’d previously invade England) invade Wales and we’re then told by the pope to invade Ireland as the Irish were Celtic Christians not roman catholics.

I was at the Australia game at Upton Park and we held up the Flag of St George in the Bobby Moore Stand and that made me feel proud. But the British national anthem being played. Not English, but British.
