It’s nice but not easily singable……..needs something punchy…
Some of the words would not be true of everyone who wanted to sing it. But of course in practice only a very small part of it would be sung most of the time, in the way we usually only sing the first verse of ‘God Save the Queen’. There would have to be a decision about which part that should be.

Later today the English team will sing God Save The Queen lustily before the match with Romania. And back home millions of us will cringe with embarrassment.
